ROUTE 309 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

R. 0309, Section 101 & 104 (Highland Avenue to Welsh Road (Route 63))
Dates: 5/5/08 – 5/12/08 Hours: 9:00AM to 3:00PM and 9:00PM to 5:00AM

Description of Work:
Section 101 Roadwork related to reconstruction of the expressway in Upper Dublin
and Lower Gwynedd townships. Structure work to replace or rehabilitate existing
bridges. Section 104 is the ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) Project
Location of Restriction:
SR 309 from English Village Road to Highland Avenue. Side roads , Bethlehem
Pike SR 309, McKean Road SR 309, Susquehanna Road SR 309, Cedar
Hill Road SR 309, Butler Pike SR 309, Tennis Avenue SR 309, Loch Alsh
Avenue SR 309.
Butler Pike off ramp on SB 309 and Susquehanna Road on ramp to SB 309 remain
closed. Cedar Hill Road Bridge over SR 309 remains closed. Detour signs are in
effect. McKean Road and Tennis Avenue are reduced to a single lane at SR 309
until further notice. Traffic signals are in effect. Southbound Route 309 is reduced
to a single lane for the duration of the project from Bethlehem Pike to Norristown
Road. Section 104 work is currently on SR 309 from Welsh Road to Cowpath
Road and will have minimal lane restrictions.

Welsh Road (SR 63) at both approaches to SR 309 may be impacted with lane
restrictions starting Monday, May 12

SB 309 may be reduced to one lane between 9:00am and 3:00pm between
English Village Road and Welsh Road
.:. During off peak day hours there will be a lane closure NB 309 to do repairs on
the Loch Alsh Bridge just north of the Highland Avenue exit. The day and time
has yet to be determined.

Sawing / sealing, concrete curb and sidewalk, install attenuator at 2+814, remove
temporary barrier
